The short version

An order that arrives faulty, damaged or not as described is replaced or refunded and we pay the postage both ways. That is not a policy decision, it is consumer law in the EU and the UK, and our own rule everywhere else. An order you simply changed your mind about can come back too, within 30 days, as long as the seal on the jar or the capsule pot has not been broken.

Your right to withdraw

If you are a consumer in the EU you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The 14 days run from the day you, or someone you named other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods. To use it, tell us before the 14 days are up: an email to info@shilajatu.com saying you are withdrawing is enough, and the form at the bottom of this page is there if you would rather use one. Sending the notice on the last day is in time.

On top of that we give you 30 days from delivery, because 14 days is not long if a parcel landed while you were away. The extra 16 days are our policy rather than your statutory right: they apply to goods whose seal is intact, and they do not shorten or replace anything above.

You may handle the goods as you would in a shop: read the label, weigh the jar in your hand, look at it. What you may not do and still send it back on a change of mind is break the seal, for the reason in the next section. If you have handled the goods beyond what is needed to establish their nature and characteristics, and that has reduced their value, we may deduct that reduction from the refund, and if we do we tell you the amount and why before we pay it.

The exemption that decides it

Sealed goods and the hygiene exemption

The withdrawal right has an exemption for sealed goods that are not suitable for return on health protection or hygiene grounds, where the seal has been broken after delivery. An ingestible taken out of a sealed jar is the case that exemption was written for: once a spatula has been in the resin we cannot know what else has, and nobody should be sold a jar somebody else opened.

So the position is this. Sealed and unopened, on a change of mind, within 30 days: returnable. Opened, on a change of mind: not returnable, and the product page says so before you order rather than after. Faulty, contaminated, damaged in transit or not what you ordered: returnable either way, opened or not, and the section below covers it. If the batch report for what you were sent is wrong or missing, that is a fault, not a change of mind.

How to send it back

Do not send an order back without asking first. Not because we will refuse it, but because an unannounced parcel with no order number in it is a parcel we cannot match to a refund.

Who pays the postage

For a change-of-mind return, you pay the direct return-postage cost. The amount depends on the dispatch origin, carrier and service you choose. We do not charge a restocking fee. This does not affect the remedies available when goods are faulty, damaged or not as ordered.

How the refund works

We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of you showing us evidence that you sent them, whichever comes first. It goes to the same payment method you paid with, and it costs you nothing.

A withdrawal refund includes what you paid for the outbound delivery, at our standard rate. If you chose a faster delivery than the standard one, the difference is not refunded. If you return one jar out of two and the order shipped free, the refund is the price of that jar.

Faulty or not as described

For two years from delivery the goods have to conform to the contract, and this right is separate from the 14 days above. If they do not conform, you are entitled to have them repaired or replaced free of charge, and where that is impossible or not done within a reasonable time, to a price reduction or to cancel and be refunded.

In practice: send us a photograph first, and the batch number from the label. Glass broken in transit, a seal that arrived already broken, a jar short of its stated weight, a capsule pot mislabelled. Most of it is obvious from an image and we would rather send a replacement than argue about postage. Resin that has gone stiff in a cold parcel and soft again in a warm hand is not a fault, that is what the material does.

The questions everyone asks

What is shilajit, actually?

A dark resin that seeps out of rock at altitude in the Himalaya, made of plant matter pressed and broken down over a very long time. What comes off the rock is not the product. Shodhana, the purification step, is what separates the resin from everything it was sitting in, and that is the step worth asking a seller about.

Why does fulvic acid matter?

Fulvic acid is a carrier molecule. It binds trace minerals and is studied as a way of getting them across a cell membrane, which is why the interesting question about a mineral is not how much is in the jar but how much of it arrives. That is the mechanism the research is built on. It is a line of study, not a settled fact, and nobody should sell it to you as one.

How much do I take, and when would I notice anything?

A rice-grain portion, dissolved in warm water or under the tongue, once a day. A 30g jar lasts two to three months at that dose. Shilajit is not a stimulant and nothing here works like one, so the honest unit of time is a month rather than an afternoon. If you want the caffeine experience this will disappoint you.

Resin or capsules?

The range includes resin and six distinct capsule formulas in vegan HPMC shells. Ingredient amounts are listed for each product rather than reduced to one formula for the whole range. One caution: the Sea Moss and Bladderwrack blend contains iodine, so if you have Hashimoto’s or any diagnosed thyroid condition, take that one to your doctor rather than to the checkout.

Where does it come from, and how do I know it is clean?

Our products come from the white-label range offered by established UK supplier Pure Shilajit UK. The supplier describes its resin as Himalayan-sourced. Certificate of Analysis 63849 from Alex Stewart Agriculture, Liverpool (ISO 17025 accredited analyses) covers the February 2026 resin batch: arsenic 0.02, cadmium under 0.2, lead 0.44 and mercury 0.03 mg/kg. It covers the resin only; the capsules are not independently tested.

Do you ship outside Europe?

We ship worldwide, with one exception: not to the United States. Orders to the United Kingdom pay GBP 7.00, free for orders of GBP 140 or more. Switzerland and Europe pay CHF 6.90, free from CHF 150; every other country CHF 14.90, free from CHF 200, converted at checkout.
